Don't call me, I'm too expensive
It’s been snowing all day, got a good half foot so far, and no sign of it letting up any time soon, which is just great. Haven’t seen a good amount of snow like this for a few years, just surprised it’s happening in England and not Germany.
Still writing up about Berlin, so I’ll have that posted up within the next few days.
Just got back, I’ll write a detailed report of the trip a bit later. It was a fantastic trip, and I’ve gotten a lot of ideas from it.
Off to Transmediale tommorow, Berlin looks set to be fucking freezing, which is going to be nice.
Really looking forward to it all, probably won’t be able to write anything about it while I’m there but I’ll try report back with some interesting tales once I’m back.
I’ll be taking my camera with me, so I’ll try to take some interesting photos.
Haven’t posted anything for a little while, everything’s going well.
My laptop managed to die on me for a few weeks, something to do with a fucked up security program by Securitoo, the cunts.
I bought myself a used Wacom Intuos tablet on ebay but it doesn’t appear to be working, which is a right bummer, seeing as I’d like to use it for some work I need to do. Guess I’ll have to stick to a mouse for now. Speaking of which, I bought some new toys over christmas, a great Seagate portable drive, that runs purely on USB power thankfully and a great Razer pro|solution mousemat. It makes a hell of a lot of difference, using a desk sucked, but I think I’m going to need to get a wrist wrest, the metal edge isn’t exactly comfortable.
I’m wanting to get back into photography again, it’s been a long time since I was really into it, and I’ve got a few ideas for some interesting shots. I’d love to get my hands on an IR modifided camera, a D40 or something cheap like that, just so I can play around with it.
Speaking of which, I need to find a decent way to incorporate a gallery into my website, I’d like to avoid using tables if at all possible but I might have to use them, on the lookout for some good open source stuff but otherwise I guess I can just do it all manually. I’d also like to get a shop interfae eventually, OScommerce has an appaling interface, and BigCartel charges, so neither of those is very good really.
Anyway, back to work for me.
Still in France, getting on with things, albeit quite slowly, as per usual.
Website layout is, I think, finally finished, can’t upload it as my laptop can’t connect to the Livebox so it’ll have to wait untill early January but it’s looking great. Working on other things too, the SS2 deck is getting on, some of the objects are built, just need to lay everything out and start working on getting the lighting right, and then start texturing if I’ve got the time.
Working on getting the layout to this blog and the forum to match the site, but that won’t be for a while yet.
Not much else to report elsewise, life is good, getting on with stuff, missing Mimi a lot and my uncle is arriving tommorow.
Need to find some new music.
Oh, and Storm of Zehir is shitloads of fun.
In France for christmas at my grandparents house, trying to get my head around this fucking French keyboard which has all the keys in the wrong fucking place. So annoying.
Anyway, not much to report, getting on with everything, slowly. Some images from my System Shock 2 deck will emerge in the next couple of weeks, and I’m going to give some serious thought about giving everything a proper design look, which means restructuring the few things I’ve already done on the website along with getting the forums and blog to match the main site.
