Got here yesterday morning (subjective) and it’s amazing.

Disgustingly hot and sweaty, having to take a break away from the mid day sun. Spent the morning walking around various massive shopping malls that sell absolutely fucking everything, unfortunately, it seems everything’s pretty much the same price, or more expensive than in England in the malls, so not really doing any shopping.

I think the most amazing thing I’ve seen is the skytrain they’ve got down the main road, it’s just massive blocks of concrete that scream of the 70’s and just generally look quite amazing. It’s also pretty fucking weird seeing the juxtaposition between these completely run down slums and half demolished buildings next to mega expensive skyscrapers and the ever present shopping malls.

People are all friendly, probably used to tourist, but being polite seems to help, and cabbies are fucking annoying, so that’s rather familiar.

Can’t wait until we hit Ko Samui in a couple of days.
